Dozens Rally to Support Doyle's Tax Freeze Veto

More than 100 people, many of them WEAC members, marched outside Serb Hall in Milwaukee Saturday (August 9, 2003) for quality public education and quality municipal services and to demonstrate support for Governor Doyle's veto of the Republican property tax freeze plan.

The march was similar to one held two days earlier in Kenosha. Both were counter rallies to media events staged by groups trying to build pressure on legislators to vote to override the veto. The State Senate is scheduled to vote on a possible veto override Tuesday.
