WEAC Executive Director Dan Burkhalter has announced the hiring of D.J. Holub as WEAC's new director of Collective Bargaining and Research.
Holub, who was formerly the Director of the University of Iowa Labor Center, brings additional collective bargaining experience to WEAC from his work with all Labor Center extension education programs, labor education courses and workshops, and applied research. He has served as general counsel, business manager and financial secretary for the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, Local 204, and as a staff attorney for the Legal Services Corporation of Iowa .
“D.J. brings to WEAC 15 years of labor union advocacy experience and a fresh approach to long-standing challenges,” said WEAC Executive Director Dan Burkhalter. “We are fortunate to have him on board at WEAC and I am confident that he will be a major contributor to WEAC's efforts to ensure that our members achieve collective bargaining success.”
WEAC's Collective Bargaining and Research department provides training and resources for a variety of member groups.
