'You can feel the energy,' says WEAC President Mary Bell |
![]() |
WEAC President Mary Bell is helping to launch the new school year with a statewide public service announcement that focuses on teamwork.
"It's back-to-school time and you can feel the energy and excitement in classrooms throughout Wisconsin," she says in a public service announcement distributed to radio stations throughout the state. "I'm WEAC President Mary Bell. Great schools make the difference in Wisconsin's communities. And every great school is the result of successful teamwork - educators, students, parents and communities working together to brighten our shared future. Visit weac.org for information about how you can become more involved in your community's great schools - because great school benefit everyone."
A new link on the OnWEAC Home Page - Get Involved in Schools - takes visitors to the OnWEAC Parents' Place, which includes a series of articles about how parents can work with schools to help their children succeed. They can also listen to the public service announcement. Radio stations will air the PSA for free, but WEAC has no control over when or how often it is run.
Bell will also be writing a back-to-school column that will distributed to newspapers statewide. Check your local newspaper.
