State Children's Health Insurance Press Conference

Glenn Schmidt, a WEAC member of the NEA Board of Directors, represents NEA at a press conference at the U.S. Capitol about SCHIP, the State Children's Health Insurance Plan. Schmidt addressed TV and print journalists about the effects a threatened presidential veto would have on schoolchildren. Also speaking at the press conference were Senator John Kerry, Senator Debbie Stabenow, Senator Jack Reed, Senator Sherrod Brown, and a representative from American Federation of Teachers.
