Northland Pines Education Association Food Drive

The Northland Pines Education Association collected 1,029 items of food and delivered them to the Vilas County Food Pantry on December 13, in time for holiday delivery to those in need within the community. Teachers within the Northland Pines School District were asked to log all of the hours that they worked on school-related activities outside of the contract day between November 26 and December 7. For every hour donated to their classrooms and students, an item of food was donated to the food pantry. The two educators displaying the food items are Jennifer Nickel (left), science teacher and building rep at Northland Pines High School, and Ann Hewitt, a social studies teacher at Northland Pines High School and chair of the job actions committee.
