Educational Assistants Association of Stoughton members celebrated National ESP Day, November 17, 2004, with "thank you" presents and treats from the teachers and administrators in the Stoughton schools. Fran McNett, WEAC ESP coordinator (front row, center), visited all six buildings in the Stoughton School District - including Yahara Elementary School (above) - and gave each member a “Stoughton EAAS: Everyday Heroes for Great Schools “magnet. Stoughton’s mayor, Helen Johnson, signed a proclamation declaring November 17 “National Education Support Professionals Day” for the city. “ESPs are often the unsung heroes,” said Melody Vike, EAAS president. “In Stoughton we have a very dedicated group of ESPs who work with our children. ESPs serve as essential partners with teachers in public education.” Photo from Fox Prairie School. Photo from Kegonsa School.
