About 75 Arrowhead Union High School District teachers and supporters picket outside the school administration building to protest stalled contract talks. Negotiations for a 2003-05 contract went to mediation March 31, but Cedar Lake United Educators Director Steve Johnson said little to no progress was made. Teachers have engaged in a number of activities, including wearing black at events such as an honors banquet and parent conferences. They also have taken an ad out in the local newspaper and distributed brochures to parents. Johnson said teachers are working to educate the public about the great schools in the Arrowhead district and the high quality and dedication of the teachers. Arrowhead High School is located in Hartland in Waukesha County.
