3/3/2010 4:54:06 PM

WEAC Vice President Guy Costello reads to  Vicki Lutz and Penny Jamir's 2nd-grade students in the library at Webster Elementary School in Green Bay.

Costello helped children increase their appreciation for books during Read Across America week, the nationwide celebration of reading that coincides with Dr. Seuss' birthday and brings together more than 45 million readers across the country.

Costello also visited Greenfield (above), where he amused students Deon Koester (left) and Joe Tillman (right) when he read his favorite Dr Seuss book “Yertle the Turtle” at Greenfield High School during the National Education Association’s Read Across America week.

He also visited West Allis' Frank Lloyd Wright Intermediate School (right), where teacher Amy Scherff (back right) and her students were entertained as he dressed as the Cat in the Hat and read Dr. Seuss books.
