WEAC Helps Members Plan Their Financial Future
As a WEAC member, you are entitled to the free services
of WEACs Member Benefits Specialist Bob Moeller.
Among those services are free financial planning seminars
which are co-sponsored by UniServ offices and WEAC. These presentations
are designed to help you achieve financial independence, which is defined
as reaching a point in time where you no longer need to work to maintain
your lifestyle. You will benefit from the presentations whether you plan
to reach financial independence in 1 year or in 30 years.
WEAC also has designed a booklet to augment the presentation.
Topics include: determining where you are financially, the Wisconsin Retirement
System, Social Security, estimating retirement income needs, investment
options, tax-sheltered annuities, mutual funds, planning for college,
life insurance, and estate planning.
The booklet includes net worth and cash flow management
forms, a chronological checklist for pre-retirement planning at any age,
an overview of the Wisconsin Retirement System that will help you estimate
your projected retirement benefits, a retirement annuity estimate form,
and a question-and-answer section on Social Security benefits. Also included
is estate planning information and forms you need for Wisconsin Basic Power of Attorney for Finances and Property,
Power of Attorney for Health Care, and Declaration to Physicians (Living Will).
The investment section will help you regardless
of years of service or age maximize the return on your investments
and minimize the risks related to investing. Topics include tax-sheltered
annuities, mutual funds, life insurance as an investment, and planning
for college education costs.
