The Green Bay Packers organization is working with educators on a venture to revamp the educational component for the Packers Hall of Fame, creating activities that meet state and national standards.
With a large number of school groups visiting Lambeau Field each year, especially in the spring, the organization has created a team comprised solely of teachers to develop the plans. Three separate areas of focus are under development:
“When school groups come in, we want to be sure they are getting something educationally sound out of the experience,” explained Krissy Zegers, Packers Hall of Fame and stadium tour manager.
The educational component is still in its initial stages, and the Packers are counting on other teachers from throughout the state to voice their suggestions. Look for the Packers’ booth at the 2007 WEAC Convention October 25-26 in Milwaukee to learn more.
