Look closely at your Sunday newspaper and you may find a picture and special article written by a WEAC colleague. WEAC is featuring six members in a unique newspaper advertising campaign about the challenges facing teachers and education support professionals in Wisconsin's public schools.
The campaign begins in December and will continue until May 2005. The ads will appear in 10 daily newspapers statewide, 23 weekly newspapers that serve the Milwaukee area, and a business publication.
Each ad includes a picture of a WEAC member, an editorial about an education issue, and the Great Schools message. Because the ads are both promotional pieces and editorials, WEAC calls them "advertorials."
The advertorial campaign is in its fifth year. Advertorials from previous years are available on OnWEAC.
Below is the first in this new series of ads. (Check back to meet each of the members who are being featured in the 2004-05 campaign.)
