WEAC
is proud to continue its sponsorship of the Badger State Games, Wisconsin's
only Olympic-style, grassroots sports festival.
For 19 years, the Badger State Games have provided an opportunity for
people of all ages and abilities to compete at a high level or just for
fun.
WEAC supports the Games through its Volunteer Sponsorship. Every year,
4,000 volunteers donate their knowledge, skill and time to make the Games
run.
Major changes are in store for the 2003 Badger State Games. For the first
time ever, Badger State Games has updated its logo and its look; opened
registration for all winter and summer sports in November; and is embracing
technology to make it easier, more convenient and economical for people
to participate.
The Winter Games include 11 sports and take place in and around Wausau
on January 31-February 2, 2003.
State Summer Games Sectional Competitions (for select sports) are June
20-22 in Platteville, Whitewater, Eau Claire, and Oshkosh.
Summer Finals include 28 sports and take place one week later on June
26-29 in and around Madison.
