Eight Wisconsin educators have been nominated for Presidential Awards for Excellence. The awards honor excellence in mathematics and science instruction.

mathematics finalists are:
The science finalists are:
Each finalist will receive $750 and will be recognized at an awards ceremony
this fall. Four of the nominees will be selected to receive the Presidential
Award for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching. Those winners
will receive a $7,500 cash award to improve science and mathematics instruction.
Each winner will also meet the winners from other states during a conference
and ceremony at the White House.
