Frequently Asked Questions
| 35 Hour Block Schedules Questions have come up regarding 35-hour block schedules as follows: |
| The 35-hour schedule language was amended late last spring to include DESIGNATED hours for internet classes (and internet lab hours for blended classes). It is your right (and your benefit) to designate (in conjunction with your Dean) your internet class hours WITHIN your 35 hour block. These designated hours are then not available to the district as "additional hours of availability". Also reminder that 18 or less student contact hours requires 5 office hours, 19-22 requires 4 office hours, and 23 and up requires 3 office hours. You can designate these anywhere you choose within your 35 designated hours and spread over at least 3 days. 35-hour blocks are consecutive within each day (unless you agree to waive consecutive hours on your 35-hour block). |
