- Good Works Committee – We need some volunteers from each building to serve on this committee which will work on fundraising ideas to be used for scholarships and/or charitable contributions. All interested members please contact Christine Bachofen at FPMS by November 8th. New Business - WEAC Convention – 1st – 3rd year teachers who attend the WEAC TeacherÕs Convention both Thursday and Friday will receive a $50 stipend. Registration can be done online and the registration booklet is available online as well. *There is a PDP Reviewers training available on Friday for those interested in getting certified as a PDP reviewer/trainer.
- Elementary Computer Training – Training is being done after work hours, but is voluntary. Concerns are: Teachers cannot get their classes in the labs, the equipment is not working, training is not provided during in-service time, and practicality of precession time.
- Extra-Curricular Supervision - Concern over approach to recruit supervisors.
- Contract Implementation – Drafting of 07 – 09 contract will run concurrently with Negotiations.
- IEP Requirements – Some IEPs that are held after school are causing problems with the 8-hour workday. Jason M. will look into the legal interpretation of this concern.
- FICON – We need more FHS representatives to help with FICON.
- Sick Day Donation Question – Some BRs had questions about the sick day donation policy. The policy states that days can only be donated if it is the member who is ill. The member would then use the days to help get them to long-term disability.
