Educators to examine Finnish education

Online opportunities for educators

Through a collaborative arrangement with the Council for Exceptional Children (CEC), NEA members can now participate in CEC professional development sessions at the CEC member discount price. Web seminars bring together current information from experts and busy professionals in convenient interactive 90-minute sessions, and require only a speakerphone, a computer and high-speed Internet connection.

Also, the Rural School and Community Trust is holding a free Webinar (an online seminar) on Tuesday, April 29, at 12:00 p.m. The presentation, "Engaging Students and Revitalizing Communities through Place-Based Learning," is an interactive session where strategies and successful examples for engaging disenfranchised students through PBL will be shared.

Find out more about these and other professional development opportunities, events, and classroom resources on the OnWEAC Educators' Bulletin Board.
