Warning that "challenging days are ahead," Governor Doyle said Wednesday that Wisconsin must face a national economic downturn by preparing for difficult choices while at the same time staying true to that which is most important - good schools, quality health care and good-paying jobs. Citizens believe in qualified teachers

What's more important for a student's success in the classroom? Sixty-five percent of people surveyed on WEAC's 'I believe' Web site said a caring, qualified teacher is more important, while 30% cited small class sizes and individual attention. WEAC members Keith and Amy Medema and Karen and Jim Schilling were winners of tickets to a UW Badgers basketball game January 19. The educators watched the Badgers beat Northwestern from a luxury suite. The tickets were donated to WEAC in appreciation for our Great Schools advertising during UW basketball game broadcasts.
