Become a delegate to the NEA RA
The 2008 NEA Convention is July 1-6, 2008, in Washington, D.C., and the 2009 NEA Convention is July 1-6 in San Diego. WEAC members will elect delegates to the NEA Representative Assembly for a two-year term in March 2008. Members planning to seek election as delegates are required to file their declaration of candidacy in the office of the WEAC executive director by January 5, 2008. Read more
Weaver applauds omnibus budget bill
NEA President Reg Weaver praised lawmakers in the U.S. House of Representatives for approving a bill that makes public education and children top priorities. Weaver also released his December radio address, urging a commitment to education in 2008. More
Internship application deadline is Jan. 4
The deadline for applying for the WEAC staff internship is January 4, 2008. A printable application form is now available online. The WEAC Intern Program provides for a one-year, full-time internship. More
