Assembly passes its version of budget

The State Assembly Republicans late Tuesday night voted to pass their version of the 2007-09 biennial budget, containing short-term fixes that would devastate Wisconsin's future. The 51-44 near party-line vote came after nearly seven hours of debate. http://www.weac.org

ESP retirement bill calls for equity

A proposal to improve retirement benefits for education support professionals (ESP) has been introduced by State Senator Fred Risser (D-Madison). Schofield's name was randomly selected from members who correctly answered a question relating to how the Ashwaubenon School District would fare under Republican-backed revenue cap limits.
