Senate action on budget praised

The Democrat-controlled Senate on Tuesday passed its version of the 2007-09 state budget, adopting Governor Doyle's pro-public education budget proposal that emerged largely intact from the budget-writing Joint Finance Committee.

Health care reform plan unveiled

Hundreds participate in Outreach to Teach

More than 300 college students, teachers, retired educators, higher education faculty and education support professionals picked up shovels and dug in to give a needy, local school a much needed facelift on Tuesday in Philadelphia.
