Community leaders, including teachers, from throughout Wisconsin are participating in a series of community dialogues on school finance. State Superintendent Elizabeth Burmaster has invited representatives of education, business, local government and community organizations in nine regions of the state to participate in discussions of the states commitment to investing in education.
The first session was conducted Thursday (January 17, 2002) in Racine (Milwaukee Journal Sentinel article). Other sessions are:
