History
Cedar Lake United Educators UniServ Council was formed in 1973, and took its name from the largest body of water in Washington County. The acronym CLUE stands for Cedar Lake United Educators, a UniServ Council. UniServ stands for Unified Services and is a means of providing staff services and state and national resources at the local level. CLUE in partnership with WEAC (Wisconsin Education Association Council) and the NEA (National Education Association) hires its own staff to assist locals in advocacy, member rights, public relations, professional development, political action, and other areas.CLUE represents school district employees in 19 local associations.
