Budget/Dues Preparation

There are several steps in which the UniServ budget and dues assessment for each year is prepared. In February, a preliminary budget is prepared and presented to the CAUS South Board of Directors. Each local Board Rep is then asked to take it back to their membership for review and discussion. The draft is again discussed at the March meeting with any proposed changes requested by the local membership and voted on by the Board.

A copy of the budget is sent with the RA materials (two weeks prior to the meeting) so the CAUS South RA Delegates have a chance to look it over. The CAUS South Treasurer presents the proposed budget at the May Representative Assembly. RA delegates can make further changes, if necessary, and finalize the budget at that time. The delegates then pass the dues amount to be assessed in the coming year and the PAC (Political Action Contribution) amount.
