WEAC Priorities

Support and Empower Members

Develop and support local, UniServ, state and regional efforts that involve members in their union through professional development, community outreach, collective bargaining and political as well as legislative actions. Assist local, UniServ and regional units in advocacy, member representation, and leadership development activities.

Fund Schools

Build public support for public education and promote a culture of civic investment that values the common good. With a disciplined message that members can confidently use to deliver their own stories, we will lead efforts to secure fair, sustainable PK-16 funding by local and regional organizing and increase our capacity to elect pro-education candidates regardless of party affiliation.

Quality Education for All

Provide leadership in policy discussions around fair compensation, professional standards and evaluation models, working conditions for quality teaching and learning and sound educational practice that will attract, retain and develop the highest quality educators for Wisconsin’s PK-16 schools and classrooms.
