Wisconsin Education Association Council respects the privacy of the users of our Web site, OnWEAC. We want to make your online experience safe and satisfying while visiting us on the Web.
WEAC will not collect information about you unless you choose to provide it to us. We will not share this information with others in ways different than what is disclosed in this policy.
Information WEAC gathers and tracks:
1. Information that users provide through optional, voluntary submissions. These are voluntary submissions that are necessary to enter our "Members Only" pages and to participate in specific activities from our Web site. These activities include, but are not limited to, the OnWEAC Forum, OnWEAC Direct mailing list and the Cyberlobby.
2. Information that OnWEAC gathers by tallying page views throughout our site. This information allows us to better tailor our content to readers' interests and needs.
WEAC gathers user information by optional, voluntary submission.
We offer the following free services, which require some type of voluntary submission of personal information by users:
1. Site registration for the Members Only section of OnWEAC
To enter the "Members Only" section of WEAC's Web site, you will be asked for your membership identification number, which can be found on your WEAC membership card. We no longer require your Social Security number to verify your membership with WEAC and its affiliates.
2. OnWEAC Direct
Users of OnWEAC can provide basic contact information to become members of a weekly electronic mailing list. The list provides its users with the latest news and information from WEAC and the education industry. Members of the mailing list can unsubscribe at any time. WEAC and its affiliates will have sole control over the mailing list and will not rent, lease or sell it to any other organization or person.
3. Updating your membership information online
When visiting the Members Only pages of OnWEAC, WEAC members have the opportunity to electronically update their contact and personal information, such as an address or name change. This information will be used to update the mailing lists of WEAC and its affiliates and will be used in our official membership roster.
4. Registering for WEAC activities online
On many occasions throughout the year, WEAC members can sign up online to participate in WEAC activities. Registration for these activities may include the submission of contact information, credit card information and/or personal information. The information will be submitted to WEAC in a secure fashion. WEAC and its affiliates will not sell, rent or lease this information to any organization or person.
WEAC members wishing to participate in these activities may also register by mail or telephone.
Children
In accordance with the Federal Children's Online Privacy Protection Act of 1998 (COPPA), we will never knowingly request personally identifiable information from anyone under the age of 13 without requesting parental consent.
Usage Tracking
WEAC uses specialty software to analyze user traffic patterns throughout our site. We do not correlate this information with data about individual users. We use this information to learn more about overall usage statistics. We do not track what individual users read, but rather how well the page performs overall. This helps us to provide a better service for you.
Security
WEAC operates secure data networks protected by industry-standard firewall and password-protection systems. Our security and privacy policies are periodically reviewed and enhanced as necessary and only authorized individuals have access to the information provided by our users.

By using this site, you consent to the collection and use of information
by WEAC and its affiliates as disclosed in this policy. If we decide to
change our privacy policy, we will post these changes on this page of
our site so that you may remain informed and aware of what information
we collect, how we use it and under what circumstance we disclose it to
