The 2005 WEAC Summer Academy is July 31-August 3 at the Radisson Paper Valley Hotel in Appleton. The theme is "Everyone a Leader. Everyone a Learner."
This summer’s Academy features a variety of training tracks and opportunities to network and have fun with members from throughout the state. Bargaining team members, building reps, UniServ and local leaders will be able to improve their skills while practicing with some of the latest support tools and best practices. Tracks include public relations, member engagement, contract enforcement and more. Sessions on meeting PI 34 requirements include Writing a Professional Development Plan and Professional Development Team Training. Education Support Professionals will learn about the online tutorial for paraprofessionals and information about ESEA requirements.
