WEAC President Stan Johnson presents the Great Schools Hero award to
Alan J. Lewis, a Milwaukee resident who lost both his legs in the war
in Iraq. In an emotional presentation, Johnson applauded Lewis for his
service, strength and resolve. Lewis plans to earn a teaching degree
and teach and coach football in Milwaukee. "We look forward to
the day that Private Lewis becomes a WEAC member," Johnson said.
"I look forward to being a WEAC member," Lewis said. "Nothing
is going to stop me." More
