Scholarships: Applications are available for members scheduled to work at school district jobs during Academy dates. Contact Kelly Perna at (800) 362-8034, ext. 272 to apply.
Confirmation: Confirmation packets will be mailed approximately two weeks before the conference.
Hotel: WEAC will make hotel reservations for registered participants. Non-smoking rooms are limited. Hotel check-in begins at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, August 1.
WEAC Summer "Organizing" Academy registration: Registration begins Sunday, August 1 before the Sunday Specialized Sessions in the Ho Chunk Resort and Convention Center. It will start at noon and be open until 1:15 p.m. Registration will continue from 4-6:30 p.m. Sunday evening. To find the regsitration desk, take the escalator to the lobby area outside Upper Dells A/B. Late registration is available Monday, August 2 from 7-8 a.m.
Expenses: The following expenses are covered by your $50 registration fee: training and materials; three nights double occupancy lodging with another participant; President’s Welcome & Kick-Off refreshments (Sun.); breakfast (M,T,W); lunch (M,T,W); Picnic Dinner (M); and Wollersheim Wine Tasting Event (T). Additional fees apply for single occupancy lodging. Participants are responsible for other meals, mileage, and recreation.
Fitness center: Ho Chunk has an off-site community center pool (one mile from hotel) that guests can use for an additional daily fee.
Training rooms: Participants should bring a sweater or wear layers in anticipation of cool, air-conditioned training rooms.
