WEAC President Stan Johnson (center) and Vice President Terry Meyer award
a plaque and a gift to Margaret Guertler to thank her for six years of
service as WEAC's secretary-treasurer.
Berlin teacher Margaret Guertler was honored Saturday (May 3, 2003) for her six years of dedication and service as WEAC's secretary-treasurer.
Following her annual report to the WEAC Representative Assembly, delegates paused to give her a standing ovation to express their appreciation.
WEAC President Stan Johnson and Vice President Terry Meyer presented Guertler with a plaque and a gift.
"This organization has been honored to have such an excellent secretary-treasurer for the last six years," Johnson said. "On behalf of the entire organization, we want to express our deepest thanks for the many long hours and the skills you contributed to this challenging job. As a result of your contributions, WEAC is a better and stronger organization."
Guertler served the maximum two three-year terms. Wisconsin Rapids library media specialist Mary Bell was elected by RA delegates to succeed Guertler, effective in August.
