The 2000 WEAC All-Officers Meeting is September 29-30 at the Chula Vista Resort in Wisconsin Dells.
All local officers should have received an invitation to this meeting in the mail in mid- to late August. If you are a local officer and have not received a mailing, it's probably because your name is not in the WEAC membership file as an officer. Please contact WEAC membership staff to notify them of your status.
The All-Officers Meeting begins Friday, September 29, with registration from 6:30 to 7:45 p.m., followed by remarks by WEAC President Terry Craney and Executive Director Michael Butera. Participants will then discuss Election 2000, followed by a reception.
Saturday's agenda includes a discussion about WEAC's strategic planning effort: "Our Union 2000 - Planning for the Future." Seminars will then be held on a variety of topics, including a local presidents' workshop, the union's role in teacher licensing, and 2nd-year plans for Great Schools. The conference concludes at 3:15 p.m.
