The WEAC Representative Assembly will meet April 24-26 at the Regency
Suites Hotel in Green Bay.
Nearly 1,000 voting delegates will attend the RA. Each local is entitled
to one delegate to the Representative Assembly for each 50 members.
RA delegates make major budget and policy decisions for the coming
year.
RA delegates also elect WEAC officers, including the full-time paid
president. This year, five elected positions are up for election. Each
of the candidates is running unopposed.
Delegates also will vote on proposed changes to the WEAC Constitution
and bylaws. The proposals were forwarded to the RA by the WEAC Constitution
and Bylaws Committee.
The WEAC Resolutions Committee is proposing additions and changes
to the WEAC Resolutions. RA delegates will vote on the proposals. The
Resolutions Committee will hold a hearing on the evening of April 24
at the Regency Suites Hotel in Green Bay. At that time, the committee
will only accept resolutions it has previously rejected or that arise
from situations that occurred since the January deadline for submitting
new resolutions. RA delegates will receive the entire resolutions document,
with proposed changes incorporated.
